Started my prep today for not one but three back to back marathons. 😊
All the haters saying no rep, have you ever seen a CrossFit athlete do this workout? They kip/butterfly all the pull-ups, this dude did them strict. Props to a marathon runner for honoring one of our nation’s heroes, Lt Michael Murphy. The one critique I will offer, I bet next time you wear a shirt under that vest. Nothing like vest chafe from not wearing a shirt. Ask me how I know. 😂

This is typical. I am never short of breath but the legs get tired and heavy. Rest is important but I would say steadily building up distance on long runs gets your legs used to longer distances.

What do your macros look like cutting on a marathon prep?
Around 3200 cals on long runs and 2800 on the avg day. Trying to lean out I only track protein and cals and try to eat more carbs than fat to fuel

How many calories do you get up to when you’re bulking?
My question is: How can you train like you do without overtraining? I have a Garmin 965. When I run 100 miles a month and work out 3 days a week (push day, leg day, and pull day), I crash at the end of the month. All my indicators on my Garmin are telling me I am strained, and my HRV is bottoming out. I have been using the daily suggested runs on my Garmin watch, so it's increasing my runs slowly. Now, I need to take a week off from training. This happens all the time. By the way, I am 57 years old. Can you give me some advice? Thank you..
